Uzbekistan’s thriving tourist industry plans to attract 15 million foreign tourists, 25 million local tourists, and 3 million pilgrims by 2030. With its unique cultural heritage and stunning natural landscapes, Uzbekistan has seen a 2.5-fold increase in foreign tourists over the past six years, making tourism a key source of economic growth. In 2017, revenue from related services totaled $531 million, quadrupling to more than $2 billion in 2023.

There is a plan to double the availability of hotel beds, increase the number of tourist mahallas to 175, and attract private investment to increase the annual export of tourism services to $5 billion, according to The Times of Central Asia.

Currently, citizens from 91 countries can visit Uzbekistan without a visa.
